An example that the theme in this book is that even if someone is different they still have a chance in the world is that when Micah is blamed for killing Zach she fights back and stays strong. Everyone in the school thought that there was something wrong with her. When Brandon said that Zach and Micah were together she denied it because Zach’s real girlfriend was sitting a couple of seats away from her. Even though Micah was blamed for something she did not do she still had a chance to live. I think that everyone should have a chance to live in the world even though they are different.
Another example that the theme in this book is that even if someone is different they still have a chance in the world is how Micah was called a boy because she looked like one in the beginning of the year. Even though Micah is being called a boy she still keeps being called a guy for a couple of days. People thought she was a guy because of her hair and her chest was flat and her hips were narrow. Micah was different, but she still went with whatever she was called, she still had a chance in the world.
Also another reason that the theme in this book is that even if someone is different they still have a chance in the world is that Micah is always lying, but the only person that can see through her lying is Zach’s real girlfriend, Sarah. Micah was different because no one really knew what was wrong with her. No one knew why she always lied. They did not even know that she even lied to them. Micah’s disease made her different from everyone else. She still stayed strong, she tried to fight the lies she was saying, and she tried manage to keep her true statements secret. Even though Micah was different she had a chance in the world.
In conclusion even though you are different you still would have a chance in the world. I think that everyone should have a chance in the world even if they are dumb, have a disease, or lie all the time because they are scared of telling the truth. Micah is different in many ways, but she stays strong and tries to have a chance to be herself in the world.
